Technical & Aesthetic Issues

All prints are made to order, on demand.

Printing Specifications: All images are sized to the best fit on 8.5" x 11" or 13" x 19" paper with appropriate margins for paper handling by the printer. The printing is done with modern, professional seven- or eight-color printing equipment on premium semi-gloss paper at 300 dots per inch (dpi). Only UV-resistant archival inks rated at 100 to 200 years are used.

Brightness and Color: Please keep in mind as you browse the art on this site that you are looking at fairly small low-resolution samples. Since there is no way for me to balance the contrast, brightness, or color on your computer monitor, please allow for some variation. The artwork you purchase will be run at high resolution on semi-gloss paper. Be assured that it will look good to me, or I won't send it.

Framing: You can mat and frame the art any way you want, but I recommend the use of non-glare art glass, preferably with a good UV coating. I feel that most of the digital art offered here will be best enhanced with modernistic-looking metal frames, but I also know that metal can be expensive. It's also a matter of personal taste, but at least check the look and pricing of a metal frame.
